September 11, 2001! A date we all remember and a date we all can recall exactly what we were doing when we saw and/or heard about the planes being flown into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. We were glued to our television sets and radios waiting to hear about the 4^th plane: Where was it headed? The White House … Congress? And then we heard that several Americans on the 4^th plane fought the terrorists and forced them to crash the plane in an open field in Pennsylvania – Heroes! In all the tragedy … Civilian heroes!

Heroes as heroic as our forefathers who gave their lives at Lexington for “the shot heard around the world”! White and black Americans; Christians and Jews laid down their lives to free us from the tyranny of King George and the heroes of 9-11 laid down their lives in our first battle against terrorism! We may not be able to recall their names but their sacrifice will never be forgotten!

Many wanted to excuse the attack because of this nation’s stupid foreign policy and it is a stupid foreign policy! But there is no excuse to take the lives of 3,000 innocent people to draw attention to a policy that meddles into the internal affairs of other nations! You make those changes by getting your diplomats to tell our diplomats to “butt out”! And if your government hasn’t got the guts to do that, you change your government! That was the solution Osama bin Laden and his useful idiots should have used but they would rather slaughter thousands of the “infidels”!

But it’s too late for reason so we vowed to kill Osama bin Laden and his useful idiots … We have killed many thousands of them and we finally killed bin Laden! Hoo-Rah!!

Okay; we won!! Let’s bring our troops home! We have no excuse to kill more Afghans – We are not “nation building” and the government we helped establish is Afghanistan is as corrupt as the Taliban so I don’t think we want to be associated with this scum either!

We have no reason to still be in Iraq today (if we had a legitimate reason to go there in the first place!). We have been at war for 10 years and finally killed the rabid bin Laden; we have sent our troops back for 4 and 5 “tours” of duty in a war zone (I never figured our how that can be called a “tour”)! We now have thousands of amputees and men and women with PTSD who may never recover – How many more thousand do we want to ‘sacrifice’ to “save” the Afghans and Iraqis from themselves? I say NONE! It is up to the Afghans, Iraqis, Iranians, Egyptians, Libyans, and the rest of the Middle Eastern nations’ people to decide what kind of government they want and do not be surprised if they pick another dictator because they have lived with oppression since the 7^th Century and they are comfortable with that!

In his “Farewell Address”, Washington warned against foreign influence in domestic affairs and American meddling in European affairs. He warned against bitter partisanship in domestic politics and called for men to move beyond partisanship and serve the common good. He called for an America wholly free of foreign attachments, as the United States must concentrate only on American interests. He counseled friendship and commerce with all nations, but warned against involvement in European wars and entering into long-term alliances. The address quickly set American values regarding religion and foreign affairs, and his advice was often repeated in political discourse well into the twentieth century; not until the 1949 formation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) would the United States again sign a treaty of alliance with a foreign nation. Washington's position about the forming of political parties did not prevent their creation, which continues to the present day to the detriment of the nation!

John Quincy Adams on U.S. Foreign Policy (1821):

Why haven’t we listened to their astute counsel? The neo-cons, who have administered our ‘foreign policy’ since the end of WWII, will say, “We got caught with our pants down (militarily) at the beginning of WWII and we can never let that happen again!” All of us can admit that we were ill prepared for WWII: FDR and the Fed were still doing all of the stupid spending trying to end the Great Depression but were just putting us deeper and deeper into it! Japan’s attack on the U.S. was just the ticket to “save” FDR’s administration … He’d been trying for almost 12 years to end a financial collapse, some say created by the Fed, that would have corrected itself in less than 2 years, had the government stayed out of it! But that’s a topic for later discussion.

It’s our foreign policy in question here and trying to ascertain how that got us where we are today: Deeply involved in three (3) wars in the Middle East: Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya; tens of thousands of our military personnel in 135 countries around the world (check it out: http://www.lewrockwell.com/vance/vance8.html); and virtually every nation hates America! Why? Our government gives tens of billions of the taxpayers dollars to foreign governments and call it “foreign aid”! China needs foreign aid? Saudi Arabia needs foreign aid? Brazil needs foreign aid? Iraq needs foreign aid? Three oil-rich nations need “aid” and America’s largest debt holder needs “aid”? Saudi Arabia is one of the biggest supporters of  Islamic terrorism, the vermin we are sending our boys and girls overseas to kill, our “foreign aid” supports! Why?!?

The foreign policy “experts” say: “There are five major categories of foreign assistance: bilateral development aid,

economic assistance supporting U.S. political and security goals, humanitarian aid, multilateral economic contributions, and military aid. Due largely to the recent

implementation two new foreign aid initiatives — the Millennium Challenge Corporation and the Global AIDS Initiative — bilateral development assistance has become the largest category of U.S. aid.” And let me add: “Blah, blah, blah, blah … ” You will find it all: http://fpc.state.gov/documents/organization/31987.pdf; 35 pages of double and triple-speak!

The truth is our government thinks they can buy friends and I contend it ain’t workin’ out so well! Most of these “friends” vote against us most of the time in the United Nations but they will vote for any initiative that the United States pays for! They smile and hug us when we hand them the money of hard-working Americans and they are still smiling when they shove the knife in our back! They aren’t even good enough to classified as “fair-weather-friends”! Fair-weather-friends abandon you when you run into tough times – These collective jackasses abandon us right after we give them the money!

But the neo-cons and ‘progressives’ still fight to give away our wealth but for different reasons: The neo-cons want to buy friends and the ‘progressives’ want to redistribute America’s wealth! A pox on both their houses!

We need to stop listening to the neo-cons! They spoke with wisdom when they said we couldn’t get caught with our pants down again – What we let them do beyond that is what must be changed! No longer can we be used as the World’s Policeman! No longer can we be used for “nation building”! No more can we afford to put tens of thousands of our military personnel in 135 foreign nations!

Our national foreign policy must be modified to now be: “To assure Peace, we must be prepared for war!” Another way to put it was said years ago: “There is nothing so likely to produce peace as to be well prepared to meet the enemy.”   - George Washington

We must let the world know that we are the “Beacon of Liberty”, not the meddlesome busybody we have been in the past, and we believe in self-determination of all people but if they are stupid enough to attack America again, we will “put a boot up your ass; it’s the American way”! In the same manner, we must end our affiliations with the United Nations, NATO, SEATO, etc.! Tell those nations they must settle their own differences and, if they care about their people, they will settle those differences through negotiations rather than war! ‘Trading partner’; not the ‘neighborhood enforcer’!

As Thomas Jefferson so eloquently put it: “I deem one of the essential principles of our government, and consequently one which ought to shape its administration, peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none.”

We have slain the monster – It is time to bring our troops home and rebuild our family!

“Right-Wing – Left Wing”?

We hear these terms all the time; what do they mean? That questions will get you a myriad of answers – Among the ‘answers’ you hear are: “The Tea Party is the ‘right-wing’ of the Republican Party.” “The liberals are the ‘left-wing’ of the Democratic Party.” “These so-called ‘Liberty groups’ are ‘right-wing’!”

Where is the truth? From my standpoint, it is simple to explain: Classic liberals and classic conservatives are not “wings” – Either right or left; they are the friends of Liberty! They, as our founding fathers did, debate the best way to solve problems within the framework of our Constitution!

The ‘left-wing’ and the ‘right-wing’ are what has flown our national bird completely off course and has put us on the edge of moral and financial disaster! Who are the ‘left-wings’ and ‘right-wings’ doing this? First you must understand that these ‘wings’ do not believe in our Constitution; at the very best, they pay ‘lip-service’ to our founding documents and they spiral the nation into oblivion! These enemies of Liberty are on both sides of the aisle – They call themselves ‘progressives’! Whether they call themselves ‘liberal progressives’ or ‘progressive conservatives’, they are enemies to Freedom and the American Way! They align themselves with the worst elements in America: Socialists, Communists, Union Bosses, “Special Interests”, and most Militia Groups! They link themselves to these groups because they share common goals: The fundamental transformation of America! That’s ‘political speak’ for total control of the People by a central government ruled by a dictator or an oligarchy of elitists!

But they try to deflect attention from their sinister plans by calling the Tea Party “radical” and “right-wing” – Those two terms should tell the listener that they speak with a forked-tongue and a total lack of knowledge! In my day, we called that “Lying”! But in today’s ‘politically correct’ environment, I guess they would say they “Misspoke the truth!” I think they’re liars!

The term “radical” is associated exclusively with the ‘far-left wing’ of the political spectrum: Bill Ayers, Bernadette Dorn, the Black Panthers, etc. and “right-wing” would indicate somebody who believes in no government at all – An anarchist! In fact, our founding fathers termed the far left, “tyranny” and the far right, “anarchy”! The Tea Party is neither!

Well, if the Tea Party isn’t ‘right-wing’ or ‘left-wing’, what is it? Our core values should be the best indicator: Small central government, fiscal responsibility, and strict adherence to the U.S. Constitution as originally intended … That puts the Tea Party exactly in the center – It is referred to as “Center-Balanced” – Believe me, that term scares the hell out of the ‘right-wing’ and ‘left-wing’ of both major parties! The Tea Party, as well as all the Liberty groups I have worked with, doesn’t believe in “party loyalty” – We believe in the People, not some false standard to be ignored as soon as you get into office!

It is true the Tea Parties have, as individuals, supported men and women with (R) behind their name and you ask why? If the Liberty groups are non-partisan, why support Republican candidates? A good question that needs an answer. As previously stated, neither major party is a friend to Liberty and Freedom but there are distinct differences that make it easier to work for a Liberty candidate with the (R)! The Democratic party has been totally taken over by the enemies of Liberty and Freedom: The ‘progressives’, socialists, fascists, communists, environmental wackos, etc. so they only back candidates with an anti-American agenda. The Republicans, on the other hand, are without direction; they have no clear-cut agenda so they will accept almost any candidate who appears to be able to win an election! When you have compromised your principles to ‘get along’, you are willing to accept direction, hoping to ‘find yourself’ again!

The Tea Party doesn’t change; there is no compromise on principles in us! And if you are having a hard time understanding the Tea Party isn’t part of the GOP, how confused do you think Boehner and McConnell are when they meet with our Tea Party candidates who won’t follow Boehner and McConnell’s “directions”? LOL!!

If you study the Liberty candidates elected in November, you will find they give Mr. Boehner ‘heart-burn’ because they won’t ‘go-along-to-get-along’! The same thing happened in 1994, when we gave the GOP the majority: Mr. Gingrich treated our Liberty candidates like red-headed step children because they wouldn’t ‘go-along-to-get-along’! Back then, our Liberty candidates were few and, rather than spend their lives fighting the idiot, Gingrich, they opted to leave Congress but several converted to the power structure and failed themselves and the People! Our newest freshmen class are more in number and greater in commitment but it’s an up-hill battle against the power structure!

I guess you could call this my ‘rant’ about our 2 political parties; of which, I am ashamed of both! Neither national party has the interests of the People in mind; neither has the good of the nation in mind; neither give a damn about our children’s and grandchildren’s future and they prove these charges on a daily basis!

Each party is so proud of their mascot: The Democrats are the donkey and the GOP loves the elephant – I do not see the significance as it relates to either party except it allowed me to select nicknames in keeping with the mascot and descriptive as they choose not to represent the People and the nation: Jack Asses and Fat Asses is more befitting of them!

The names of their parties are no longer descriptive of their philosophies or their principles! Although the Democrats have settled on a philosophy, they have no principles – They are, in effect, the National Socialist Party; almost identical to Hitler’s National Socialist Party philosophy and we know they were without principle or conscience! Thomas Jefferson wouldn’t recognize the party he started nor would he be any part of it! And because they have no principle or conscience, they have proven themselves smarter than the GOP politically! They used a created ‘crisis’ to nationalize our banking industry, the insurance industry, auto manufacturers, and the housing market in less than one year! In less than 2 years, they are well on the way of nationalizing our health care system! Everything they have accomplished has been behind closed doors, in secret, without ‘bipartisan’ support, and hated by the American People! But it didn’t stop them; we barely slowed them down and it cost them politically: 84 Freshmen in the House and 7 in the Senate. That did stop any new transformation toward socialism but it doesn’t end the destructive policies in place now and do not look for the GOP to save the Republic; they don’t have it in them and the Democrats know it!

That brings us to the Grand Old Party, the Republicans – What are they? A very good question but don’t ask them because they haven’t a clue as to who they are and what they stand for! Previously called the Whig Party, they supported Congressional supremacy over the Presidency and favored a program of modernization and economic protectionism. They became the Republican Party in 1854, in opposition to expanding slavery into the new states and territories, which the Democratic Party favored! Called the “Radical Republican Congress”, they enacted unconstitutional tariffs against southern cotton in an attempt to force the slave states to end slavery – A noble objective but Constitutionally wrong! The Radical Republicans proved the victors after an unnecessary and bloody war, pitting brother against brother. The War Between the States, as it is referred to in the South, or the more ‘politically correct’ “Civil War” accomplished the first big step in the destruction of the Tenth Amendment by imposing federal mandates against the will of the states! Called “Reconstruction”, the Radical Republicans raped and pillaged the wealth of the southern states for 10 years after the Surrender at Appomattox! During “reconstruction”, the former slave states weren’t allowed elected representation in Congress and, therefore, the Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendment were unconstitutionally “passed” and “ratified” by three-fourths of the represented states! How, you ask, could they not be represented? If you are not allowed to be represented, you cannot vote for or against anything; the southern states were not “accepted” back into the “Union” until they had been “reconstructed”!

On the ‘upside’, the Republicans were the majority that gained the vote for “Female Suffrage” and Lyndon B. Johnson couldn’t have gotten the Civil Rights Act of 1964 passed without the Republican majority in Congress.

Somewhere in the ‘60’s, these parties switched roles: The Republicans, led by Barry Goldwater, started becoming more protective of the Peoples’ Bill of Rights and the Democrats started becoming more ‘progressive’ by enacting more “entitlements” to create the “Nanny State” role for the federal government and ignoring, totally, the Constitution and the Peoples’ Bill of Rights!

That brings us to today: What good is either party? Nothing! Nada! Zilch! Zero! They have become the Jack Asses and Fat Asses; only concerning themselves with their own reelection and self-aggrandizement! “Serving the People” has become an advertising gimmick rather than the goal of politicians of both major parties!

So, “Who will be the Republic’s Savior”? I wish I could say we can look to the Heavens for the Savior of our souls to save the Republic but, unless it is the “end of times”, we must continue to pray for guidance but look within ourselves for saving the Republic! The Tea Party has maintained from our very beginning to forget the “party” and seek out those men and women wanting to serve the People, without regard to their own personal gain and reelection hopes! We must seek them out, convince them to run for office, and campaign actively for them! We must draft them if they hesitate but accept their refusal if they choose to refuse.

We need Clint Didier! We need more Michele Bachmanns, Ron Pauls, Rand Pauls, Alan Wests, Herman Cains, Sarah Palins, Clint Didiers, Bill Spencers, Ron Haydens, Jamie Wheelers, and more representation from servants like the Representative from Utah, Jason Chaffetz, who sleeps in his office, rather than being beholden to any special interests but the folks who sent him there!

We need to seek out candidates who will hold their ground, not only against the ‘progressives’ but will hold their ground against their own party! We don’t have representation like that now in our Congressional District and I know we are not the only congressional district seeing that!

We need to look passed the R’s and D’s behind the names and look at the person – We must eliminate the Jack Asses and Fat Asses and elect staunch defenders of the Constitution, OUR Constitution, to office if we want to leave any legacy for our children and grandchildren!

Our Republic – How Do We Get It Back?

We keep saying we are a Republic because that is what our founding fathers called it. It sounds noble but then you look around the world and you see the Peoples Republic of China, the Republic of South Korea, the Peoples Republic of North Korea; I could go on but you see my point: Everybody calls themselves a “Republic”! So what is a “Republic”?

According to Merriam-Webster, a Republic is: (1) : a government having a chief of state who is not a monarch and who in modern times is usually a president (2) : a political unit (as a nation) having such a form of government. Sounds like all those mentioned above qualify but their form of government doesn’t resemble ours very much; in fact, many nations calling themselves a “Republic” are communist and/or having an “elected” dictator for life!

We need to know what our Republic is, or, what it is supposed to be. According to Thomas Jefferson, we are: “The way to have safe government is not to trust it all to the one, but to divide it among the many, distributing to everyone exactly the functions in which he is competent….To let the National Government be entrusted with the defense of the nation, and it’s foreign and federal relations….. The State Governments with the Civil Rights, Laws, Police and administration of what concerns the State generally. The Counties with the local concerns, and each ward direct the interests within itself. It is by dividing and subdividing these Republics from the great national one down through all it’s subordinations until it ends in the administration of everyman’s farm by himself, by placing under everyone what his own eye may superintend, that all will be done for the best.”

Is that what we are? All the political divisions are still in place as mentioned above but they don’t seem to function as they’re designed to – What happened? A friend contends we have lost our Republic to the ‘regressives’ – Is he right? I believe so; we have an administration who thinks they are the elected dictator and a Congress who supports that idea! No longer are the People in charge, no longer are their voices heard, and no longer do the elected officials fear the People! As Thomas Jefferson said: "When governments fear the People, there is Liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.” Do you fear your government? I do!

How did this happen? How did we, the People, lose control of our elected officials? I believe two (2) words can sum it up: Apathy and Ignorance! And these two (2) things didn’t just happen – It was planned!

Paranoia? It would easy to dismiss it that way but I ask you to consider the evidence before condemning the messenger. The messenger says, “I have good news and I have bad news … ”  The bad news first! Both political parties have contributed to the loss of our Republic – There is no pride in being a Democrat or Republican if you love Liberty and Freedom!

Oh, it started out with the noblest of causes: Ending slavery. But they violated our Constitution to do it: The radical Republican Congress passed unconstitutional export taxes on southern cotton in the hopes of pricing the slave holders out of the world market – They violated the Commerce Clause! The Democrats were no better: They seceded from the Union and entered into the bloodiest war on this nation’s soil! Hundreds of thousands of Americans died in that conflict; the North raped the South of it’s wealth under the guise of “reconstruction” and did not allow the southern states elected representation until Congress decided when each southern state had been “reconstructed” enough – The last of which was the Seat of the Confederacy, Virginia, in 1875 – Ten years after the war ended! But the slaves were freed; the only good thing that came from the conflict! “The ends justify the means”? I don’t think so but the Republicans have never apologized for it but it was the first “nail in the coffin” of our Republic because of it usurpation of Tenth Amendment: States Rights.

Not satisfied with that, the federal government “partnered up” with Private Enterprise with one of the largest land giveaways in any nation’s history! To build the Transcontinental Railway from coast to coast and the government hasn’t looked back: They’ve been meddling in and controlling business since then! The Republicans started this debacle but the Democrats have been just as complicit and now even more so! Now, the government controls two (2) of the Big Three auto manufacturers, the banking industry, and just shoved Obamacare down our throats to control if we live or die!

I want to keep this reasonably short so I won’t go into all the bad presidents this nation has suffered through but I will mention the worst ones by name: Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Lyndon Johnson – Another time, maybe, I can write about each of them.

Now for the Good News! Everybody wants to give the credit for the resurgence of the Constitution to the Tea Party movement and I am proud to be part of that; the Tea Party movement has become the voice of the Constitutional movement but the real start was in 1971, with the Libertarian  Party; they are the largest Third Party in the nation and advocate strict adherence to the Constitution.

In June, 2008, Ron Paul started the Campaign for Liberty (C4L) and began trying to turn the GOP into a Constitutional party; they were trying to do this through the election and appointments of PCO’s; they are being somewhat successful in several states but not enough to change them from the “Good Ol’ Boy” system. Limited success but most of what were termed “Tea Party candidates” ran as Republicans – I think that is indicative of the fact there are more fiscal conservatives in the GOP. And we cannot forget the 9-12 Groups, started by Glenn Beck. Sixty-five (65) new congressmen/women are the results of the hard work and dedication of the Liberty groups – I hesitate to say Tea Party here because the other Liberty groups worked with the Tea Party to get these people elected.

But the job is far from over and to keep the Good News rolling, we cannot sit back on our laurels, like we did after the 1994 election, and expect them to do what’s right and what they promised! The Good News is we have notified them all they are a short leash to do as they promised to do and we are doing as Ronald Reagan advised: “Trust but verify!”

It takes involvement, folks; it ain’t gonna happen unless all of you don’t help! Find the Tea Party in your neighborhood and ask them how you can help the cause of Liberty – I am certain they can find something you can do that will be as much fun as it will be effective!

American Prosperity

The “class war” being promoted by the ‘progressives’ is being very effective among, what is supposed to be, the conservatives and should cause us all to pause, breathe slowly, and then evaluate statements like the following, which I copied off “America Speaking Out!”:

• ·    Eliminate tax benefits for US companies that use outsourcing.
  ·      Increase taxes for US companies that choose to outsource.
  ·     Provide tax breaks for US companies that hire US workers in industries that typically outsource.
  
  
  ·     Strictly punish industries and companies that are caught employing illegal immigrants.
  
  
  ·      Immigration problems could be significantly reduced if employers found it extremely difficult to hire illegal immigrants and the risk of doing so was severe.

What is most disturbing about this is not that it was suggested on a supposedly conservative site but that the majority of people visiting the site are voting for it! Since when do conservatives punish small businesses for trying to survive? Why would anybody wish further harm to the economy? That is exactly what will happen if the Congress were to enact these bullet-points as “law”!

We have allowed the ‘progressives’ and environmentalists to totally deindustrialize America; our jobs went overseas because of a 35% corporate tax rate, environmental regulations that choked  companies to death with over-reaching regulation, and immigration law that hasn’t been rewritten since 1954!

Don’t blame the job creators; blame the job killers! We must first secure our southern border and, at the same time, take the time to rewrite the immigration law with a Guest Worker Program! That will stabilize our work force.

Next, we must change the tax laws and the only sane way to do that is with the FairTax Bill! The day after that bill is signed into law, we need to have a very large bonfire in front of the Capitol Rotunda! What will we burn? How about the entire U.S. Tax Code? Over 65,000 pages of the most regressive tax policy ever visited on the People and companies of the United States!

Can you imagine the power this one act would relinquish to the People and the States? No longer will you be singled out for a tax increase just because you are successful! No longer will you have to fear a phone call or letter from the IRS, informing you they are going to audit your honesty!

No longer will you have to worry about finding a job in the field you are educated in or have selected as your career! Why? Because the FairTax eliminates the 35% Corporate Income Tax – It becomes a 0% Tax – Can you imagine how many companies will want to be in business in the United States? Canada is saying they are going to reduce their Corporate Tax to 15% to attract new industry – I think 0% will attract more!

No longer would you have to distinguish between “Gross” and “Net” because their would be no Federal Deductions on you paycheck! No Federal Withholding, no FICA, no Medicare/Medicaid, no more Social Security withheld from you or your employer! FairTax covers it all!

You will no longer have to worry whether or not you’ll be able to keep the family farm/ranch with the 55% Estate Tax because under the FairTax, there is no Death Tax!

Two logical questions arise with the FairTax:

·      Why would Congress pass a law that would relinquish their power to freely tax the People anytime they wanted to?

They wouldn’t! We will have to educate the People and force the Congress to act on it! That’s looking better this session that in past sessions: Already this session, 55 Representatives have signed-on as co-sponsors and the session has just begun!

·      Wouldn’t the FairTax passage just mean that now we have the Consumption Tax and the Income Tax?

Actually, no! The FairTax Bill has companion legislation to repeal the Sixteenth Amendment and “sunsets” in seven (7) years; which means, if 3/4^th of the state legislatures doesn’t ratify the Repeal Amendment, the FairTax ends and the Income Tax is imposed again!

And can you imagine what the Governors will do if the federal government tries to impose an unfunded mandate on the states? My state’s governor loves big federal and state government but even she would have to option of saying: “Fine, you, Washington, D.C., want to impose this mandate (content of mandate unimportant), we just will not send the FairTax monies for this month and if you still have that unfunded mandate imposed on my state, we will withhold the FairTax monies again! We will continue to withhold the FairTax monies until you rescind the mandate!”

It makes me all warm and fuzzy when I think of a time, once again, where the states have their power back from the Nanny State!

The New Republican Revolution?

Well, we have a new Speaker of the House: John Boehner. “Princess” Nancy was dismissed by 19 of her Democrat Congressmen for the job as Minority Leader.

But let’s see what the GOP is doing: First, they announce they are going to read the Constitution before any business is conducted ~ This, I am certain, was to appease the Tea Party movement; I know I was duly impressed by this act because it has never been done before! It turned out to be an ‘act’ because they left out critical parts thinking they needed to be politically correct and destroyed the effect.

Why not read that slaves were only counted as 3/5ths of a man? Because it sounds racist? The southern slave states wanted to count slaves as a full person, while the northern states didn’t want to count them at all ~ Why? It makes the northern states appear racist but had they allowed the slaves to be counted as a full person, there would be no way to end slavery because the southern states would have had more votes and carried more weight in the House! In reality, it was “Step-One” to finally eliminate slavery but to not read it is to hide our mistakes.

They didn’t read the 18^th Amendment but did read the 21^st Amendment ~ Why? This was an attempt to legislate morality and it failed because you cannot legislate morality! Morality is a learned trait and you learn morality from your parents, your church, and you leaders! Do  not pretend mistakes weren’t made; it cheapens what the nation has become!

It appears the GOP is going to vote to repeal the egregious “Health Care Reform” (Obamacare); a promise made to the People. Even if they get the repeal passed in the Senate, Obama will undoubtedly veto the repeal and the GOP doesn’t have the 2/3 majority to override a veto and the GOP can start defunding aspects of this socialist program! The Republicans know they are on “probation” by the Tea Party movement so they’re trying to do enough to keep us happy but the “leadership” needs to listen to their Freshmen Congressmen because they’re carrying the Peoples’ message!

I guess we will have to watch and see what he means by this statement but it had better not be that the GOP’s going to start making “back-room deals” and keeping their agenda secret from everyone; that isn’t what we sent them to D.C. for!

If there are Democrats willing to work with conservatives, then the GOP should work with them but if all they want to do is cause problems for the Peoples’ agenda, the GOP should ignore them and shove our agenda down the Democrats’ throats ~ Just like they did to the People with Obamacare, the “stimulus” bill, the bail-outs, and corporate take-overs!

Mr. Boehner and his GOP majority had better realize that to do the Peoples’ agenda, the conservatives are at war with the ‘progressives’! There can be no compromise on the Tea Party Principles because anything the ‘progressives can retain of their Marxist programs, they will count as a victory! They’ve been taking us down this road ever since Teddy Roosevelt, a little bit at a time so we wouldn’t see it and panic ~ No COMPROMISE!!! None! Nada!!! Nyet!!

If it cannot be repealed, it must be defunded! Obama cannot veto zero! Make him veto anything he wants to ~ If it is part of the Peoples’ agenda and he vetoes it, we will gain more conservatives in 2012, and he will be a one-term President!
