Don’t Call Obama Racist?

Don’t Call Obama Racist?

The following opinion article is so full of holes, the only way I can see to set it straight is point them out one at a time. Leon
Don’t Call Obama Racist
by John Avlon Jul 20, 2013 11:26 AM EDT

President Obama's critics pounced when he said he could have been Trayvon Martin. But conservatives who accused him of dividing the country miss how necessary his unique perspective is, says John Avlon.
Race remains a fundamental fault line in American life. This is only true in the leftist point of view; it gives them a way to polarize every situation where there might be a difference in color but only when a white comes out on top of a black or hispanic! That's why the Trayvon Martin murder trial drew wall to wall coverage on cable news and why the jury's decision to acquit George Zimmerman drew outraged cries. Again, only from the perspective of the left, who created a new racial profile to fit their scenario ... Nobody has ever been a "white/hispanic" until this incident and it had to be that to create the racial divide!

And on Friday afternoon, a day before planned nationwide protests, President Obama weighed into the fray with a remarkable, unscripted 17-minute address from the White House briefing room. "Unscripted"? Every time this man speaks "unscripted", he hems and haws, stumbles over his words, and generally comes off as an idiot (my opinion). He didn't hem and haw this time but he did manage to stir the pot some more ... I'm going to say something here that's not 'politically correct' but, not only do I not like that phrase, it is how I feel about this usurper of the Constitution. He stated that this could have been him 35 years ago ... It's a shame it wasn't!
But by trying to use the bully pulpit to turn this national paroxysm into what he might call a "teachable moment," President Obama reignited conservative criticisms that he is an advocate for identity politics rather than for national unity. That is exactly what he accomplished!
Judge for yourself: "When Trayvon Martin was first shot I said that this could have been my son. Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago," the president said. What in the change makes this a 'teachable moment'? He still is preaching the 'victimology' that every race-baiter and racist on the left uses! And they use it to divide!
"And when you think about why, in the African-American community at least, there's a lot of pain around what happened here, I think it's important to recognise that the African American community is looking at this issue through a set of experiences and a history that doesn't go away. How would this man know anything about the black community? He wasn't raised black; he was raised by his white grandparents after his birth mother and father deserted him! He's speaking to endear himself to the left victimologists, like Sharpton, Jackson, and Van Jones!
"That all contributes, I think, to a sense that if a white male teen was involved in the same kind of scenario … both the outcome and the aftermath might have been different." That is pure speculation by a man who has been terrible at speculations that have meaning, like the economy, unemployment, etc.
Beyond the jury's verdict, the president's last point is the bottom line for many: would Trayvon Martin have been shot dead—and his killer acquitted—if he had been white? Again, speculation with the sole purpose of inciting racial divide!
On the most basic level, it's hard to believe that a 16-year-old white boy wearing a hoodie in Sanford, Florida, would have been automatically seen as suspect. But negative assumptions run deep, as Obama noted. “There are very few African-American men in this country who haven't had the experience of being followed when they were shopping in a department store. That includes me.” This is petty but Trayvon was 17, a few days from being 18. I don't know if this writer is black or white but obviously, he doesn't live in a neighborhood that has been having burglaries or he wouldn't even go there! Of course people in hoodies cause apprehension and garner a 2nd look! That why this neighborhood had an active neighborhood watch ... Duh!
There is a residual discomfort and political cost when President Obama speaks as a member of the African-American community rather than as an entirely colourblind Commander in Chief. That is a true statement and it is because he has taken the black side in every issue he has had the stupidity to speak out on! And in every one of those cases, he was wrong!
As usual, he walked a line, pointing out that blacks are disproportionately both the victims and perpetrators of crime. And almost lost in his remarks was the implication that his administration would not press federal charges against George Zimmerman despite the wishes of many in this weekend's protests. I will believe that when Eric Holder, race-baiter extraordinaire says the DOJ isn't pressing charges and Zimmerman gets his gun back!
But despite the fact that Obama's biography shows a person who has consciously tried to be a bridge between black and white communities all his life, from high school in Hawaii to the Harvard Law Review, to the U.S. Senate and to his 2008 campaign for president, obsessive critics project a cynical malevolence on his rise as a figure of racial reconciliation. Easy to say; but name one time this man has ever tried to "be a bridge between black & white communities" ... I've never been a witness to this statement - ever!
That's why the reaction of some conservative populist media figures on Twitter provided a useful insight into their intertwining politics and psychology. For example, Fox News commentator Todd Starnes messaged: "He is truly trying to tear our country apart." Conservative blogger Dan Riehl declared the president "the first Racist in Chief". Apt names for this man who has done nothing for the blacks (they have higher unemployment today than when he took office 5-1/2 years ago) and keeps telling them they are victims of white oppression! If you read his book, "Dreams of My Father", it is quite obvious why he is a racist and anti-colonialist: Because his father was both of those and in his book, Obama said he "adopted the dreams of my father" - Read the book and know what is sitting in the White House because it is somebody who hates everything about America!
The president is right to point out that a sense of historic perspective is necessary to understand the emotions beneath our political debates, and that the original sin of slavery. A sin common throughout the world at that time; not just the U.S.! And there is nobody in America today that has ever been a slave, so stop trying to blame the "white community" for inequities in the black community; they exist in the minds of the "victimologists" - Period!
Talk radio host and Fox contributor Tammy Bruce tweeted: "So Obama 'could have been' Trayvon 35 yrs ago? I had no idea Obama suckerpunched a watch volunteer & then bashed his head in. Who knew?" (These and other conservagencia reactions were captured by the liberal website ThinkProgress). If the media isn't bowing to this man, they must be picking on him ... Again, Obama's mission of division wins again!
Of course, these reactions do not represent all conservatives. But the overheated impulse to declare President Obama "racist”—perhaps first and most prominently uttered by Glenn Beck when he was on Fox News—is an interesting tic worthy of some analysis. Oh, boy! I can't wait for this "analysis"!
It is a reflexive form of political judo, preempting an anticipated play of the race card by instead calling the first black president "racist," attempting to claim the high ground while cloaked in willful historical ignorance and protected by the approval of hyperpartisan fellow travellers. He could have at least used "spell check" - only 1 L in travelers. But then, like Ron Wite says: "Ya cain't fix stupid!" I don't need to defend Mr. Beck but I do know this about Glen: He is obviously more knowledgeable than Mr. Avalon! Glen has not only read the U.S. Constitution, he has studied with some of the most knowledgeable constitutional experts: Nat'l Center for Constitutional Studies and Wall Builders.
It is also a version of blaming the victim. Because the irrational anger, suspicion and disrespect Obama inspires in some critics is not unrelated to his race. Victim? As pointed out by the evidence in court, Trayvon was the perpetrator!
The reality of course is that President Obama is both an African-American and the Commander in Chief, and both experiences inform his perspective. Another claim with no evidence and, according to the racial profiles, Obama is a white-African-American (if he's American)! He has no "experiences" and his "perspective" is slanted so far to the left, he's in the toilet!
The president is right to point out that a sense of historic perspective is necessary to understand the emotions beneath our political debates, and that the original sin of slavery—as well as its complicated legacy—remains our deepest wound. Talking honestly about it is part of the cure, encouraging the empathy to see ourselves in "the other," as part of our never-ending quest to form a more perfect American union. I partially answered this before but "remains our deepest wound" is true to the leftists who would race-bait and keep telling the black community they are victims!

"Shameless: G. W. Bush Claims Snowden Hurt The Country”

"Shameless: G. W. Bush Claims Snowden Hurt The Country”

That was the headline of an article in ‘Last Resistance’. Shameless? More than shameless! This jackass won't say one word about the devastation created by this administration but a young hacker who warns the American people that their government is spying on them with no remorse has "hurt the country"! Give me a break! Well, I guess if you are part of this tyrannical government, Mr. Snowden "hurt" your ability to do further spying on the citizens! Did he "hurt" the government's ability to spy on Russia and China? I doubt it. Was this government so stupid that they thought Russia and China weren't aware of the U.S. government was spying on them ... I think I just answered my own question! They are that stupid.

As a person, I like Bush much better than Obama but they are both socialists/communists/’progressives’ which means they are both enemies of freedom! What else could we expect from G.W. when he was raised by Bush, Sr., who is as ‘progressive’ as McCain or Graham? What absolutely amazes me for Bush, Sr. especially, is how, after fighting socialist governments in Germany, Italy, and Japan in WWII, he could become a communist? Oh, I know, socialism isn’t communism but you know the only real difference between the 2 is communism was imposed by the barrel of a gun!

I refuse to refer to them as ‘progressives’ any more! Their “ideas” become ‘progressively’ worse with time. Obamacare is becoming worse every time we impose more of the stupidity out of Congress; I don’t know why they call it “Obamacare” because he had nothing to do with it’s composition; he’s never “led” Congress anywhere! He holds Congress hostage but that is their own fault because they haven’t the guts to fulfill their Constitutional responsibilities to stop him!

That brings us back to Mr. Bush’s shameless behavior toward Mr. Snowden: Snowden didn’t “hurt the country” but he definitely “hurt” the tyrants in our government! The tyrants have been there for quite a while but 9/11 gave them the ‘edge’ they needed to completely strip us of our God-given rights with the nice sounding phrase: “To protect us!” Their idea of protecting us was called the “Patriot Act”; when they enacted that legislation, the terrorists and tyrants won!

How much have we, the People, lost? We have lost the following:

·      Freedom to travel, unfettered, anywhere in our country when we use “public airline transportation”

·      We are no longer secure in our own home – Warrantless searches in the peoples’ homes is all too common with the courts not holding the government accountable for this. Bye-bye, 4th Amendment.

·      The Supreme Court just upheld the conviction of a man who decided to stop speaking to the police. This used to be called invoking the 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination. He wasn’t under arrest at the time he stopped talking, so the court said the police could use his non-verbalization against him at trial; he would have had to say, “I am invoking my 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination” … Splitting hairs? Bye-bye, 5th Amendment!

·      By federal statute, Homeland Security is the only recognized law enforcement within 100 miles of our northern and southern borders, even though our Constitution in all 50 states makes the County Sheriff the ultimate Law Enforcement Official! Further erosion of the guarantee to the states of a “republican form of government” under Article IV, Section 4.

·      Under the NDAA (Nat’l Defense Authorization Act), the President can have you imprisoned, without charge, for as long as he deems necessary; he can direct the military to detain you at Guantanamo Bay Detainment Facility,  without charge, for as long as he deems necessary. Habeas Corpus and rule of law be damned!

·      We have lost our right to accumulate property and use it in the manner best suited to us! Bureaucrats set new “standards” and find new “endangered species” of plant and animal to condemn and/or restrict our use of our land!

·      The attacks on our 2nd Amendment are constant and the average American doesn’t understand why this would be. “It’s elementary, my dear Watson”: The 2nd Amendment is our basic guarantee of freedom and if the government can disarm us, they have free rein to control our every move.

Have we lost so much that we cannot get it back? Are we doomed to repeat history? (From slavery to freedom to apathy to slavery) I don’t have the answer to that; only time will tell but it depends on you and me! I know my commitment to liberty is part of my DNA; bred into me from the half-breed native American brothers who fought with George Washington, to the grandfathers, uncles and cousins who have fought in America’s war since then! Where are you in that commitment?

You cannot expect somebody else to reclaim your freedom; you must stand fast and demand your freedom from this tyrannical government we have allowed to evolve. Only you can make the difference. And if all of you band together with me and other brothers and sisters of liberty, WE are a force not to be denied! We have to be as committed as our founding fathers were and withdraw our consent from this tyrannical government; vote out all of the tyrants and “followers” in office now, replacing them with new John Adams, new Davy Crocketts, and new Samuel Adams!

What say you?

We no longer can tolerate shameless politicians who want to fragment Americans so they can impose slavery on portion after portion of Americans!

“Foreign Aid”: An Oxymoron

Foreign Aid”: An Oxymoron
by Leon Howard

Mr. Obama and his family are spending over $1 Million on their African Mr. Obama and his family are spending over $1 Million on their African “vacation” and promising Africa $7 Billion of American taxpayers money to provide electricity in sub-Saharan Africa to ‘unleash the power of entrepreneurship and markets to create opportunity here in Africa.’ Sorry, Mr. Pretender, Mr. Bush spent more than you are suggesting there and they’re still in poverty! This has been nothing more than a self-aggrandizing tour to the world saying, “Look at me! Ain’t I special?”
But that is all I expect from the Pretender to the White House; his arrogance is known world-wide.
Every President since WWII has “got it wrong” with Africa, Germany, Italy, etc., etc., etc. Governments giving other governments money isn’t “foreign aid”! It is charity, plain and simple and robs the people of the nation giving the “aid” of opportunity for themselves! Our economy is on “life-support” because of government thinking they can make things better when all they can accomplish is chaos! Our economy is where it is now because of government overreach, “foreign aid”, 3 wars we shouldn’t be in, and an apathetic society!
The world’s nations do not need America’s “foreign aid” because nation to nation accomplishes nothing; it’s an excuse to meddle in foreign affairs and that this nation has done since WWII! We wonder why so many nations hate us … Look no further than our “foreign policy” and “foreign aid” because they are “foreign” to governmental “friendship”!
Friendship and prosperity can only be successful when it is done “people to people”! It starts with an idea from one or two people, who “sell” the idea to more people and then put that plan into action. Let me offer an example: The business I was building before we started the Tea Party was with NuSkin Enterprises and it was one of their founders, Blake Roney, who had a dream to help the villages of Malawi, Africa, become self-sustaining communities. Blake presented the idea to his board of directors: It started out as a way to feed the starving children of Malawi, and was named the NuSkin Force for Good Foundation and was funded by donations from NuSkin’s Distributors! Today, Distributors donate money to the Force for Good Foundation but it’s not to feed the starving children of Malawi because they are no longer starving … Thanks to one man’s idea! That idea spread to the reforestation of Malawi’s Baobab tree, a great source for water during Malawi’s dry season. The initial drive to feed the starving children was assisted by the development of  Vitameal. More than a bag of rice; it provides all the nutrition a child needs to be healthy. NuSkin’s Distributors could see even more need in Malawi and that was teaching the people to farm. From the donations through the Force for Good Foundation, they built a village and brought a few members of the villages of Malawi to NuSkin’s “village” and trained the villagers how to raise their own crops; the villagers go back after the training and teach their villagers how to farm. Several years ago, NuSkin started producing the Vitameal in Malawi; this plant provides jobs for non-farmers. Is it profitable? It must be or NuSkin couldn’t keep the plant opened!
Is Malawi rich and self-sustaining? Not yet, but they’re much better off than they were and even though it started out as charity, it was charity from people to people; the governments aren’t involved! Does Malawi “love” the United States? They may not even know who the U.S. is but they love NuSkin’s Distributors who helped them and are continuing to invest in them and are not telling them how they must live or how to govern themselves!
“Foreign aid” from the government is nothing less than theft from one people to another government! And it always has “strings attached”! Therefore, it is resented by the people of both countries. Why? Obviously, the people the money is being stolen from feel like they’ve been wronged and the people receiving the stolen money probably never see any of the “aid” and now another government is telling them how to govern themselves! I’d be pissed, too!
Then they are those who say, “But we’ve got to give Israel money so they can protect themselves!” Please apply a little logic here: I am certain Israel would rather do without our $2 Billion a year the U.S. gives them, if the U.S. would stop giving their sworn enemies $12 Billion a year!
If we truly wanted to help “world peace”, we would also stop bringing foreign troops over here and train them to be as good at killing as our troops are! Maybe, if we hadn’t trained all the armies of the world, we wouldn’t be continually involved in conflict! If a nation couldn’t fight well, maybe they’d leave their neighbor alone or open a dialog to fix their differences!
This nation’s “foreign policy” seems to have accomplished nothing for “world peace” but has created a distrust with many nations in the world that we are trying to rule the world.
Our “foreign policy” must be as Thomas Jefferson and George Washington professed it to be, and I am paraphrasing: “True friendship with all nations; entangling alliances with none!” And I believe this is the Christian outlook; at least it is this Christian's outlook.
Our nation was divinely inspired. It was created with God’s teachings of freedom and love for mankind. We were to be the “beacon of liberty” for the people of the world to emulate; by living like the Philippians, we would attract others attracted to a moral society! We, the People, have allowed that vision to be destroyed through ‘political correctness’ and apathy!
The only way to return to our founders vision, short of a shooting revolution, is to vote all of them out of the State Houses and the federal government, replace them with true citizen legislators; reduce the size of government by at least 60%; close the over 1100 American military bases in foreign countries, bringing all the troops home; and tell the world: “We will, once again, be the beacon of liberty, with friendship to all peoples who would be our friends and a strong and ready military if you should choose to attack us! If this nation must go to war again, it will be an all-out war until unconditional surrender!”
God bless America!
