Democrats Proudly Declare We All Belong to the Government!


Say WHAT!! As I read the Constitution, it starts with: “We, the People, … ” – NOT “We, the Government … ”!

But, after examining the status of America and Americans, the Dumocrats have a point that both parties have helped create – MANY Americans “belong to the government”!

Wouldn’t you agree that if your sole source of subsistence was from the government, that you belong the government? Many years ago, we called them “slaves” and “indentured servants” but they “belonged” to somebody! The slave “belonged” to the man who bought him/her and they spent their life working for the man. The indentured servant agreed to a length of service to repay the person for paying the servant’s passage to America; the servant “belonged” to that person for the length of the contract.

Who am I classifying as “belonging” to the government? If you are getting a government check and doing nothing to earn the money, the government “owns” you! This doesn’t include Social Security or military retirements because you and your employer paid for Social Security or you earned it through many years of service to your country. Social Security is in trouble because both parties spent it on other programs they wanted! If you are getting Food Stamps and/or a Welfare Check, you belong to the government. If you are on Extended Unemployment, you belong to the government! If you are on Social Security Disability, you belong to the government! If you are on Social Security and never contributed into the program, you belong to the government! If you pay no Income Tax and receive an “Earned” Income Tax Credit check from the government, you are, at least, partly a government “belonging”!

Today, more and more people “belong” to government because we have created an “entitlement society” and this is designed to make you dependent on government, making you a government belonging. Our schools curriculum is designed to ‘dumb-down’ our kids to make them docile citizens and teaches our kids what to think; not how to think! How to think is what prepares them for the real world of competition but doesn’t aid the government in making them docile “belongings” so the Dept. of Education helps create the national “dumbing-down” programs for our local school districts to implement. This is a plank of the Communist Manifesto because children are easier to brain-wash than adults are – “Instruct” them early for a docile belonging for the “collective”!

Both parties and we, the people, are to blame because we didn’t force both parties to honor our founding documents! Nowhere in our Constitution will you find Congress authorized to force us to pay into a Social Security Retirement System! Nowhere in the Constitution will you find Congress authorized to issue Food Stamps! Nowhere in the Constitution will you find Congress authorized to create a government department to teach our children anything! Nowhere in the Constitution will you find Congress authorized to pay somebody to sit at home and do nothing! The are many, many things the government does that are not authorized by the Constitution for Congress to meddle in; in fact, here is what Congress is authorized to do:
Article I, Section 8:
1:  The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
2:  To borrow Money on the credit of the United States;
3:  To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;
4:  To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;
5:  To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;
6:  To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States;
7:  To establish Post Offices and post Roads;
8:  To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries;
9:  To constitute Tribunals inferior to the supreme Court;
10:  To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offences against the Law of Nations;
11:  To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;
12:  To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;
13:  To provide and maintain a Navy;
14:  To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces;
15:  To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;
16:  To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;
17:  To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings;--And
18:  To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

The Congress isn’t very efficient with the 18 responsibilities given, by the People; is it any wonder they screw up everything they aren’t authorized to do?

Can we turn this back into the America, Land of the Free and Home of the Brave? A resounding YES!” Looking at it, we are still the Home of the Brave – Our military is proof of the nation’s bravery but Congress’ “bravery” is very much in question! Where we have a lot of work and fighting to do is regaining our freedoms, lost under both parties! The “leadership” of both parties has robbed us of liberty under the auspice of “security” – I give you the “Patriot Act” – I would call it the “Cowardice Act”! Then there are the provisions in the NDAA (Nat’l Defense Authorization Act), giving the President the power to have anybody, including American Citizens, he deems “suspicious” picked-up by the military, interred without trial or charges even being made, suspends ‘habeas corpus’! A little Gestapo to my thinking.

But do not look to either party for help in getting our liberties back; they would like us all to be ‘sheeple’ (docile citizens) because they are much easier to ‘rule’ than Free men and women! There are a few true citizen legislators in Congress trying and they happen to be Republicans but they’re doing this on their own efforts, without the Republican Party backing – How can I know this? These efforts to change the egregious language in the NDAA hasn’t even been brought to the floor for a vote in the House or Senate! MR. Boehner and MR. Reid, a Republican and a Democrat, haven’t seen fit to entrust the American People with their own liberties! So, the only recourse we have is to vote out the ‘party hacks’; those in Congress who vote the ‘party line’! There are a lot of them! Some were corrupt going there, others corrupted after they got there, but if they stay long enough, they all become corrupted to the “party”!

We must seek out Constitutional candidates, talk them into running for office, and then support their campaigns with everything: Talent, money, foot soldiers, etc.! That is the only way to regain control of this runaway government, short of another revolution!
